Reintroducing the Taco

If there’s one thing that I’ve been craving while being on my elimination diet (besides donuts, duh) it’s TACOS. I tried reintroducing corn three weeks ago and that unfortunately did not pass the test. I broke out in eczema patches….SOB. I mean a food sensitivity doesn’t mean I can’t eat corn (chips, tortillas, on the cob, popcorn, etc.), it just means that when I eat corn products, I’m accepting the itchiness that comes with it.

Luckily for me, I found some AIP products that will still kind of taste like a normal taco, I just won’t suffer with itches from them.

What’s the Buzz (Bait) in Old Town?

What is the first thing you think of when you hear the name “Malnati?” Pizza right? Well ever since Marc opened up Buzz Bait, his newly unleashed seafood taco counter, his family name might start to be known for deep FISH instead of deep dish. And no, there is no pizza or anything related to his family’s biz being served there….With its doors still wide open, probably to counteract the cold weather vibes, Buzz Bait has already made a name for itself on Wells as the go-to-casual-taqueria.

Antique Taco

Although the name of this place suggests images of  dusty trinkets, dainty furniture, and super old (and bland) taco recipes, don’t worry, Antique Taco ‘s atmosphere and food are anything but that.  Holding it down on the corner of Milwaukee and Wood, Antique Taco has been cranking out gourmet and humble tacos since 2012. Its Boho-grungy-vibes mixed with homey Mexican comfort food are just two of  the many reasons why this place  works.
