Hell yeah we’re on Healthy Quickie series #2. This month’s topic is kombucha. I’m sure by now you at least know what kombucha is…otherwise bravo to you for reading a post where you didn’t know what you were about to read. I started my kombucha journey about two years ago when I first began repairing my leaky gut and because I’ve seen some MAJOR improvements since I began, I’ll never get off the probiotic train.
Now that my elimination diet has come to an end and I’m starting to reintroduce normal foods again, I thought of a legit AIP snack. Perfect timing right? For those who know me – I’m a much better food EATER than I am food-maker. I’m definitely NOT a cook, a chef, recipe developer, but I can follow a recipe like a pro. Although I was inspired by photos on my IG for this recipe, I decided the ingredients, therefore making this the FIRST recipe I’ve ever created. BOOM.
I know that I’m a feminist, but us females truly do have it hard. Not only do we suffer once a month with that lovely “visitor,” but we also sacrifice our bodies to have children (if we choose to). Because hormones are much higher in females, in any given day of the month, it’s possible for something within our bodies to go bizurk out of nowhere. One in particular being that random day/days of bloating.
